Team coaching promotes the building of trust, respect and positive relationships within the team. Special exercises and activities bring team members closer together.

Also, we will be addressing any issues or challenges that a team might face, such as lack of communication, difficult periods of change or lack of trust, and we will together develop solutions to overcome these obstacles.

I am particularly interested in building on the collective intelligence of teams and co-creation by valuing existing skills and resources so as to allow people to develop and own their solutions.

Depending on the outcome of the assessment, I am able to deliver training sessions, individual coaching and other management advice to the process.

Team coaching allowed myself and my team to work on our corporate vision, clarify roles and responsibilities and reflect on the way we communicate and interact amongst ourselves and with our contracting partners. Simon’s coaching skills and leadership was highly appreciated

I offer outdoor coaching to managers and private clients wishing to experience the inspirational power of nature during their coaching process. For example, I enjoy taking my clients on a two-day hike with half-board accommodation in a mountain hut.

Where is coaching useful?

Coaching is a powerful approach for change in a wide variety of situations. Just to mention a few:

What is the difference between training, mentoring and coaching?

As mentor I will share with you my knowledge, skills and experience, to help you grow and develop in a specific area. On the other hand, as a trainer, I will train you in specific skills or attitudes through a structured training session. Finally, as a coach I will use powerful questions to guide you through your own thinking process and help you develop your own answers and solutions to your challenges or objectives.

What is the best place for coaching sessions?

I offer both, face-to-face and virtual coaching session. It is you who decides which setting suits you best. In any case, it is important to choose a calm and conducive environment for your coaching sessions. For executive coaching, I prefer to meet my clients at least once at their workplace. For team coaching, I prefer to meet my clients at their workplace. In some cases, an external setting can be conducive for teambuilding activities. By the way, have you noticed that I offer outdoor coaching sessions to step out of your usual environment and take a fresh look at your life or work situation?

How long does a coaching relationship last?

The average coaching relationship lasts between six months and one year. It is important to understand that coaching is not a one-off event but a change process during which your coach helps you to develop and integrate new ways of thinking, new ways of being and new ways of doing things, which are aligned with your objectives and your deeper self. I will guide you in every step of this process, push you to implement change in between coaching sessions and make sure that you succeed in achieving lasting results in your professional and private life. In average, coaching sessions last around 60 minutes and take place every 2-4 weeks, giving you enough time to test and implement the actions you agreed with your coach.

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

Coaching is solution-oriented and focuses on the future, which allows to overcome and transform issues and challenges of the present. On the other hand, a therapist is someone who supports you to heal your past and work on your mental health and emotional wellbeing. In sum, coaching is for  individuals that are basically healthy but who wish to unleash their full potential, to overcome issues in their life that hold them back and to engage into a process of change to achieve their professional or personal objectives.
